The swan label has two objectives. Primarily, it tries to guide consumers towards environmentally friendly choices. Secondly, the swan label wants to influence producers to bring to the markets products and services that are produced in an environmentally sustainable fashion, while also being of a very high quality. The swan label imposes stringent criteria for products – criteria that have been created with the environment and quality in mind.
For diapers this means that carbon dioxide emissions and waste products from production are very small, energy consumption during the manufacture is minimised and the product does not contain substances such as odorants, phthalates or formaldehyde, which might be detrimental to health. Delipap Oy is a privately owned Finnish company founded in 1979. Our products include baby diapers, pull-up pant diapers, sanitary towels, ladies’ panty liners, light incontinence products, nursing pads and ecological cat litter. Our head office and both production plants are located in Southern Finland near Helsinki. In these two premises we have approximately 90 employees. Our daughter company OOO Delipap has a sales office and warehouse in St. Petersburg. OOO Delipap has solid experience in the field of hygiene products for the Russian market.

During its 30 years of experience in the industry, Delipap Oy has gained a thorough knowledge of the best materials and technical solutions. Our long collaboration with the Finnish League for Asthma and Allergy has enabled us to create high quality products which are suitable for sensitive skin, such as sanitary napkins with 100% cotton covered surface and products with high biodegradability. The technical preparedness, quality control, and continued product development enable Delipap Oy to manufacture goods that please the consumers of tomorrow.
In the process of improving the basic line of its product range, Delipap Oy also constantly seeks new possibilities for creating totally new innovations. Good examples of such items are nonwoven towels for industrial use and under arm guard pads for protection during perspiration. Our cat litter has turned out to be a tremendous success.
Environmentally conscientious
While we consider the purity and safety of our products of the utmost importance, we feel the condition of the environment is no less important. This aspect is becoming more important among consumers also. Delipap Oy constantly makes new innovations to ensure more environmentally friendly processes and products. We only use totally chlorine free (TCF) pulp, which means that the pulp is bleached and purified without chlorine by using a nature friendly oxygen bleaching method. No production waste is taken to dumping-grounds as it is used as fuel for energy. Delipap Oy is one of the few companies in the world who fulfills the criteria for Nordic Ecolabeling SWAN in Sanitary Products.
